11 June 2018

WWIC is engaged with the A Star institute in Singapore to establish a collaborative research and educational programme. The opportunities for collaboration are significant due to the extent of wound problems seen in that region and efforts have been boosted recently with the award of significant grant funding to establish a research programme on wound healing in the tropics.
WWIC has welcome eight clinical nurse specialists in Tissue Viability from Hong Kong for clinical secondments, this was a very positive experience for all concerned. It led to a reciprocal visit with the WWIC Director of Education and Training presenting at the prestigious Pressure Injury Program, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong in November 2017. WWIC has also enjoyed the visits from clinicians from Singapore and Malaysia and Β is looking forward to welcoming more clinicians from the region in 2018.
