The World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS) conference is held every four years once and is noted to be the β€œWound Olympics” with more than 6000 delegates from a hundred over countries. It began in Melbourne, Australia in the year 2000 and has been conducted in Paris, Toronto, Yokohama and Florence. The 6th WUWHS conference will be held in Abu Dhabi next year β€” delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic The Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP) is bidding for this huge conference to be held in the picturesque city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the Kuala Lumpur Conference Center. Our theme is β€˜Global paradigm shift: wound management specialty and recognition’. The next question is WHY? For more than 21 years we have trying to get recognition globally as wound care specialists and consultants and failing miserably. This time we will succeed as this will be a unified front from all countries in the WUWHS. Bringing them together as a great, strong and single family, providing the legacy that we want to leave after we are gone.
