Dear wound friends and family, it gives me great pride and honour to present to you a spectacular edition of the newly launched Wounds APAC journal. This is an update of Wounds Asia to include the Pacific regoin, and, as always, this is the free resource and the premier wound care journal of the Asia-Pacific region.
Various new products are showcased in this journal, including nanocopper solutions for cleansing, Chitosan dressings, photobiomodulation, octenidine dihydrochloride, all of which are making their mark in the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition, the Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP) will be organising a huge conference in collaboration with D-Foot International and the Asia Pacific Association for Diabetic Limb Problems. The 5th Global Wound Care Conference runs from 6–8 October 2023 in Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.
It is hybrid meeting with over 1000 delegates on site and 5000 delegates online. This is our fifth Global Wound Care conference and I can’t wait to welcome you all again. Delegates and speakers from all over the World will be party to the most up-to-date wound care research and practice. There will be 90 exhibition booths and table tops with over 100 countries represented.
We will also launch the International Wound Healing Foundation at the event. The International Wound Healing Foundation aims to spearhead educational initiatives, Wound Care management, charitable projects and social support, in collaborations that will stretch across the globe. It has been my vision for the past 20 years, to be able to help and support our patients and the wound care professionals across the world.
The International Wound Healing Foundation is a non-profit organisation formed to propagate advanced, comprehensive and holistic wound care management and to maintain a high standard of care in every continent. This is crucial to ensure that patients with wounds are managed well, with minimal complications.
Furthermore, please publish as many studies as you can to showcase your fantastic work. It’s a great time to appreciate all the wound care professionals who are tirelessly managing patients with wounds.
Thank you, take care and God bless.
