When planning an event such as the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS), it is imperative to gain the help of experts in the field. TheirΒ  willingness to share their time and expertise in wound care was critical to the success of this event.

Thanks to your sponsorship, support and participation, we put on an exceptional event with over 206 national and international speakers, 8 Plenary sessions, 16 free communication sessions, 36 symposia, 20 focus sessions, 20 workshops, 5 regional views, 8 global celebrations, 15 industry symposia and 15 society meetings and panel discussions. We welcomed nearly 10,000 healthcare professionals from over 87 countries on site and online, who gave their time and resources to attend and to contribute to WUWHS. We have sent the link to listen to all the talks, which you can enjoy for the next four months, so you will not miss anything.

Β Hundreds of hours went into creating this event. As you know, the wound care industry has been through a lot of change, and it is critical for our delegates to have the opportunity to come together to appreciate these changes and prepare for the future. Thank you for investing the time and resources to help recognise and appreciate our delegates and provide cutting edge education for the industry. We sincerely appreciate your time and efforts during the event β€” setting up and taking down exhibits, networking with delegates and for attending the industry summit. Your participation has been nothing but immensely valuable. Without your involvement, we would not be able to aim high and reach our potential.

During the conference, voting took place for the nect WUWHS meeting. There were five nominations: Mexico City (Mexico), Chicago (US), Miami (US), Perth (Australia) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The bid was won by Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP), chaired by the editor-in-chief of Wounds Asia, Professor Harikrishna KR Nair. The theme for 2026 will be β€œGlobal Paradigm shift: wound management speciality and recognition”

Once again, thanks very much for your participation in making WUWHS 2022 such aΒ  success. I hope to see you in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, in 2026!
